Iwantmyflashtv.com is to my knowledge, the only place where you'll find animated shorts *entirely made in flash*, and of *very high quality* while you're at it. Boy will you see talent in there, trust me.
Now, about the "entirely made in flash" and "you will see talent in there" parts of my sentence: Yesterday evening I was struck by flash genius, while at the same time, being struck by animation genius. And while getting maimed by all that striking, I was also struck by storytelling genius, and music genius. Now either that's real bad weather, or I have fantastic genius conductivity.
The source of all that thunderous striking? A short movie titled Honda, The Power of Dreams, by Michele d'Auria Animation Studio. Basically, the story of Soichiro Honda, the founder of Honda Motor Company. Told for the first time. And entirely made in Flash only.
The 1K project is a 3 minute animation featuring cars racing, and a cool tune ("Flower", by Moby). It was done by overlapping 1000 replays of the PC game TrackMania, and creating some new skins for the cars. All it needs is some car company to add its logo and BOOM! Instant Cannes. (If you're an agency interested in buying the project, and you want this post removed when you think you're about to do it, hey - no problem. With money and love, everything can be arranged.)
This is a classic. I devote my time making sure every generation sees this. I cannot say enough about this 10 mins of animation. It's brutal. Watch this now. Probably the inspiration behind most of The Electric Company stuff (see below).
This is a little Flash animation I've Stumbled Upon. While initially I was about to click away from it, I found myself drawn into the music and imagery, and the whole thing was so captivating that I soon became a shadow of my former self. A slice of roast beef. This is how good it is.
