I'm back! Last week was way too hectic for posting, so sorry if you guys missed AdKrispies.
Let's start with fun stuff from the folks at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners San Francisco, for Specialized Bikes. The animation was produced by Blind Studios in Hollywood. (Thanks, AdCritic!)
Japanese Asics Gel commercial, parodying their funkylicious late night /early morning tv shows. I just love the exuberant happiness in there. Flavourful. Chewy.

Here's a short movie presenting the last moments before an entire building explodes in pure color - a little teaser for the upcoming sequel ad from Sony Bravia (following the world-famous Frisco Bouncing Balls ad). Pure bliss. Enjoy.
Here's another view of the event (turn your head sideways).
Reportedly:
70,000 litres of paint - 358 single bottle bombs - 33 sextuple air cluster bombs - 22 - Triple hung cluster bombs - 268 mortars - 33 Triple Mortars - 22 Double mortars - 358 meters of weld - 330 meters of steel pipe - 57 km of copper wire

An ultra-clever billboard for Leica Ultravid binoculars. (The copy says: "Get Close. With the Ultravid from Leica"). Does anybody know which agency did this ? (Thanks, c00lz0r!)

I was somehow surprised to learn that the original "Back To The Future" movie was almost entirely shot featuring Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly. Almost entirely. Unfortunately (or fortunately), Stoltz sucked major ostrich eggs in portraying a teenager. In the final weeks of filming, the producers had him replaced by Michael J. Fox, and had the entire movie re-shot. Wow. (Thanks, digg!)
Check out this link to see the set pictures (unfortunately, no movies).
